DLTAI: the 1st Blockchain & Artificial Intelligence Master

    1.  Reasons for doing this course

  • Mastery of Blockchain technology will most certainly be a fundamental need for all companies in the computer sector
  • The Master’s degree offers in-depth knowledge in several programming languages associated with this technology, providing the student with a very broad knowledge that will allow them to work in all the current contexts related to Blockchain technologies.
  • There are few courses of this type in Spain; many of them are very specific,  omitting the global vision that ours offers.

2.  Who are you targeting?

This study is aimed at students in the final year of computer and computing degrees, as well as professionals in the sector who are already employed by companies that demand training in these new technologies. The course is aimed at developers of applications who are experienced in the use of a programming language. It is also aimed at computer system administrators, and people who carry out similar functions. Graduate, Bachelor or Engineering in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Telematics, and Industrial Engineering, Physics, Mathematics.

3.  Admission requirements

You must have a university degree

4.  Presentation

2017 saw a great rise in the popularity of Blockchain technology that took it out of the range of experts and into public debate. Proof of this is to be found on LinkedIn, where, at the time of writing, there were 1,800 job offers related to Blockchain, among them in large companies such as IBM, Deloitte, Microsoft, and SAP. The Financial Times recently noted that almost 10,000 members of LinkedIn mention  Blockchain as a skill on their profiles. Of these, half work in the technology industry, and the other half in the financial sector. Although most of them come from the USA, there are also experts in the United Kingdom, France, India, Germany and the Netherlands, although there are currently very few in Spain.

5.  Targets

The goals of the master can be summarized as follows:
  • Achieve a high level of programming, security and cryptographic techniques.
  • Understand the operation of the Blockchain in its main variants and generations.
  • Be able to develop web applications and platforms that interact with various Blockchain forums and smart contract alternatives.
  • Have a general vision of business, trends and legal aspects related to Blockchain technologies.
  • Understand and develop its multiple uses beyond fintech: Identity, Smart Cities, Industry 4.0, etc.
